Can anyone help with a translation?

8. It's something about them being seperated too long

in italian. Ci is 'us' - lungo is 'long' I notre is 'ours' and then she throws in a couple of sepration words I thinks she is saying 'we/us have been seperated a long time or too long

I read it the first time as suggesting that the "friend" was you. You know, some people start out a post with "my friend has this problem" when they really mean themselves. I believe he changed all the words around (all the sexes in the OP were switched, so I didn't read it as accusing the OP of being gay).

That's not literal but it's how i would read it.

I looked up 'seprenc' in an Italian-English dictionary, and it's not even listed. I think what he's trying to tell your friend is, "I can't speak Italian worth crap."

24. There Are Mistakes In It

But, the seprenc is probably a misspelling of the way the word is prononced in a southern dialect. That's the dialect i know best, although i can't translate at spoken rates.

When i'm over there, i can read the newspaper, but i can't watch the news very well. I try, but i probably only get 50 or 60% of what's being said. I can't think in italian. I have to translate each word, "declensionize" and conjugate, and by the time i've done all that, i missed the last 10 words.

BTW: There are lots and lots of italian dialectic words that don't appear in dictionaries. One of the phrases i use all the time, so often my wife knows what it means automatically, is v'omonin. There's no such word in italian, but that's sicilian for "Let's go."

I am a native Italian speaker/writer/etc. (I'm Italian.. duh!); this sentence makes absolutely no sense in standard Italian unless it is in a dialect I am not familiar with. For what it's worth, it sounds like a southern Italian dialect, but I do not know for sure. It is not a dialect from the region of Italy I am from (this, I know for sure).
