I just bought the entire Flintstones Season One DVD collection on eBay. 28 episides...over 10 hours of material!!

For six bucks, yet!

Did you know that, with the exceptoion of a four episode collection, they were never released on home video before the DVD sets?

9. Yup, me too.

CFTO Channel 9 in Toronto ran them back to back with "Definition", and I used to rush home through the snowbanks to catch the last :20 of the Flintstones. Mom made me Campbell's cream of tomato soup!

And on early sunday mornings, instead of paying for recent programming, they'd run 8(!) back-to-back Flintstones eps in what they called the "Flintstones Festival". I think I usually watched at least 6 every sunday.

But the prints they owned were so old and hacked to pieces that I bet I've missed whole scenes of each episode. They probably never paid to rebroadcast them, either! I know CFTO got into trouble in the 80s for being caught putting too many commercials into each hour of childrens' programming. I bet if I were to count them, the Flinsttones episodes they ran would probably be less than :15 of content!

Whenever looking for anything on eBay, try a few mis-spellings. The set I bought were listed under "Flint Stones", instead of "Flintstones".
