Who watched the Miss Universe pageant last night?

Did anyone else think Miss USA's walk was strange when she was in her bathing suit? I thought she looked so silly. She was very small but looked meaty compared to the other girls. They were so skinny. And so tall. One was 6'. Most of the girls were 5'9" or 5'11". Still what was up with her walk?

Venezeula has her and Hugo Chavez...and the country is sticking it to Bush every day.

I've got a friend from Argentina who is now a US citizen. He goes to Venezuela regularly for vacation. Even though he is not American be birth, and can speak the language better than English, he gets harassed constantly. He's had cab drivers force him out of the cab because he's an American citizen, even though he makes it clear he despises Bush.

We are not popular anywhere? Remember the Nazis in Casablanca, and how everyone hated them? That's the way we are viewed now.

12. Hate that dorky Billy bush but I watched some....

Miss USA walked dorky on three inch heels and looked like a horse lifting his hoofs. Miss Israel made sexual faces as if she was making a porno film. Miss South Africa was beautiful and the tallest of all. Did not win anything. Miss Venezuela was a beautiful girl but only 18 and didn't know beans about what's going on in politics in her country. Miss Mexico was pretty but common. Miss Dominican Republican was tall, beautiful and a psychologist. Miss Puerto Rico had it all. She walked like a swan and smiled like a goddess and was intelligent. Except her eye makeup was too heavy. Miss Canada was it for me. Her smile and blue eyes out shined all the other women.

Latin women won all the way. They were all the most beautiful, but I was happy with Miss Canada.

13. I actually wound up watching about half an hour of it

Because I was too tired to get up and go to bed. What I noticed was that most of these women looked like fairly generic, whitebread American girls. Very few had any kind of ethnic or exotic look to them - it was like watching a beach party episode of Beverly Hills 90210. Maybe it was because I was tired but they all looked pretty much the same to me.
