I can remember how I used to be able to sleep when it was late afternoon/early evening and I'd just come home from school/work...

ooohhh this is getting very sleepy-making....

and you're sleep-deprived and you actually fall asleep on the couch......oh, my lordy doesn't that sound sweet.......

yes, you're on the couch...the tv is on something boring or non-engaging, and now you're getting sleepy...it's not at all like being in bed "trying" to sleep; you're on that couch and you're barely listening to the TV and you're starting to fall asleep...........
