Grocery store "self-checkout" blues
AArrrggggg!!!! I just spent 20 minutes behind a woman at the self checkout of my local grocer. She had 6 items. She couldn't get them to scan. She couldn't bag the stuff, she didn't know how to do produce, then after 15 minutes, she finally got everything done. Of course that wasn't enough, next she broke out the coupons. Then after 5 minutes wrestling with the coupons, she had to write a check.

1. My sympathies
I live in an area of lots of retired people. The grocery store made a decision not to use them "due to the population."

2. I was behind a senior citizen like that the other day.
I helped her with her checkout. She was grateful, and I got out of the store in a reasonable amount of time.
