The cat is NOT in the central air ducts (move complete)
Too many stories to offer but we are moved in (not completely unpacked) with just a few things left in the old place.

My wife bought a couch, chair, and ottoman on Saturday but the couch wouldn't fit into the downstairs rec room (I knew there would be a problem) without taking a window out and taking it in that way. We'll see.

My in-laws helped us out immensely but by Saturday it was pretty clear to me and my father-in-law that we couldn't stand being around each other (mutual) any longer. They left on Sunday. We finally took a day off.

We have a bit of an ant problem but I think most of that was just from stuff being left laying around all week. We'll see.

The critters didn't like it too much at first. We put them in a bedroom and after most everyone left we let them out. The girl, usually adventurous, spent most of the time under any blanket or bedspread she could find. They made it down two flights of stairs by the end of the night Saturday but the boy tried to make a break for it last night. I had crashed and my wife woke me up hysterical "They are in the cooling ducts!!!" I check it out the boy was above the duct in the space between the fake ceiling and the first floor-I have to seal that up tonight.

30 minute commute this morning which is twice what it used to be.

We've already decided to stay 2 years and then buy but not that house. We've come to find out from neighbors that Hurricane Isabelle pretty much came right through that lot. At least 9 trees went down (1/2 hitting the house) so it will need a whole new roof in less than 5 years probably (my guess). The owner said "Screw it" after the Hurricane and has been renting it out since then.

3. Window is still in place
The roof isn't bad it will just need to be replaced after taking such a brutal hit, much like my back after this weekend.

I should have said "Faux ceiling" it's just a drop down from the actual ceiling.

Hey my mother and Mother-in-Law want to SAM'S!! (last time for us) We have 8 pounds of ground beef shaped into 12 patties (huge), 2 1/2 POUNDS of Mustard, and about 48 rolls of toilet paper!!!! YEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWW!!!

4. Renter's remorse?
Come on, you'll come to love it and it will be home in no time. As for the cats, when I moved it was really funny. My scaredy cat Lily was the first one out of the bunker (cat carriers in the guest room). She walked around the eat-in kitchen and rubbed my legs as if to say, "I approve", before proceeding to tour the establishment for herself. Pad Thai, the more outgoing cat, was totally freaked for another hour and a half.

8. Several people have recommended using Feliway on their cats
to help them through the anguish of a move.

11. Well one of them found a cat toy on Saturday night
I have no idea how it could have been missed... okay yeah I do no one had crawled around behind the AC/Heating unit. I am pretty sure it had catnip on it-our cats literally trip on catnip so we never get anything with it on. They were jacked up all Saturday night.

No no drugs for them. They are doing fairly well actually.
