Now, she get's up. Just when I was going to talk about how hard it was with the momma cat lying here.
She's getting old and is spoiled rotten, so I cut her all the slack she asks for.
Anyone else owned by such a critter?

1. ME!!
I sit down with my laptop on the couch arm and my sphynx crawls up on my lap right infront of my view. Cant even type with her there.

11. He's 65 lbs - which surprised me. All muscle.
I adopted him in January after I lost my beloved lab, Jesse (may he rest in peace.)

This little fella had been abandoned and abused. He spent his first several months at a puppy mill/farm where he was either tied to a tree or kenneled. Then he went on to live with an unsavory character who picked him up to teach his pit bull puppies how to fight. I'll let you guess this guy's profession.

Anyway, thru a friend of a friend he made his way to me and I couldn't be happier. We are working on his aggressive tendencies towards other male dogs. Other than SOME male dogs, he wouldn't hurt a fly.

3. It's called "hampering."
Cats are THE masters of hampering what we want to do. :D

4. Try three kittens!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=3303217&mesg_id=3303217

and when I send them back to their kitten room, my own three start begging for attention. It's especially hard to type with a 20 pound Maine Coon in your lap!

5. several of them....
One just became too disgusted by my small typing motions, gave me an exasperated expression, and jumped down off my lap. Another likes to drape herself across my left arm while I type, and one is so large that when he jumps in my lap-- an experience in its own right-- I have to push back to full arm's length from the desk to give him room to settle in. He also "face-rubs" insistently enough to dislodge my glasses!

9. Heh.
I get the face rubs constantly from Tommy -- smears and dislodges my glasses.

Otis likes to sit on my lap while I type; he's a nice big tabby.

My female, my princess, doesn't do the lap thing.

13. it's worse when he misjudges his trajectory...
...and has to use his claws to recover. Imagine 18 pounds of badly embarrassed kitty hanging from your leg.

14. My spoiled brat cat, Ciggy, prefers to attack from behind.
He leaps up onto my back and drapes himself over my shoulders. Of course, to keep himself properly balance, he has to dig in with his claws.

I have found the best solution is to concede defeat and give the little darlin what he wants. My complete and undivided attention.
