Why haven't your children signed up for the Presidential Prayer Team?
Edited on Sun May-22-05 10:15 AM by Maddy McCall
You heathens! Be sure to have your children sign up today! GW needs your prayers.

This is a really big week for President Bush because he is meeting with leaders of several countries. Pray for these meetings asking God to help the President with His widsom. Ask God to guide him and all the leaders of the world so they will honor Him and do His will. Here are the meetings on President Bush's schedule:

May 20, Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis and Denmark's Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen

May 23, Afghan President Hamid Karzai

May 25, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia

May 26, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas

Pray for peace in our world—in Iraq and all the other places where there is hurt and unrest, including Darfur, Sudan and Uzbekistan. President Bush has reminded us to pray for peace this Memorial Day—that's always a good thing to do, but especially this week as there are people who are living with danger and unrest.

Saturday, May 21 is Armed Forces Day—a special holiday created just to show our appreciation for every person who has served our nation in the Armed Forces (military service). Pray that every person who bravely serves America through the military will know the appreciation of the nation. Pray for their families—especially their kids—as they have had to get along without their mom or dad or other family member. Ask God to protect all the great people serving the country in this way, that they will do their jobs well and experience the peace and love of God wherever they are.

16. Praying for peace is a good thing.
And for the pagans in the crowd, I'd recommend teaching the little tykes how to do a binding spell on the current administration.

Edited on Mon May-23-05 02:31 AM by Maddy McCall
It's more than 2.8 million strong! In God we Trust! :eyes: Look at the seal below.

PRESIDENTIAL PRAYER
REQUESTS FOR
May 19, 2005

As the President urges the passage of a comprehensive energy bill and as oil prices continue to rise creating hardship for so many Americans, pray for progress on this front, that America may gain greater energy independence, exercising utmost responsibility for our world's precious resources.

Pray for the President as he meets with several world leaders this week. He has scheduled the following meetings: Greek Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis on May 20, when the two leaders will discuss advancing democracy, security in southeastern Europe and the Middle East. Also on the 20th, Denmark's Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, when the two leaders will discuss their partnership in advancing democracy in the world, as well as concerns with NATO, and U.S.-EU relations. On May 23, President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan for a discussion of the war on terror and the advance of democracy in that nation. On May 25, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia to discuss the democratic reforms in that nation as well as ongoing efforts for tsunami relief. Finally, on May 26 he will meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the roadmap toward peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Pray for each of these encounters, asking God to guide President Bush with His wisdom, that His will be done.

As new security concerns have surfaced in recent days, including the diversion of flights to America because of a passenger named on the no-fly list as well as aircraft penetrating the no-fly zone over Washington, D.C., give thanks for the security measures that are in place and are working effectively. Pray for continued development of security that will keep all Americans protected and safe from terrorism.

Pray for U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman, sworn in on Tuesday of this week, as he steps into this important position helping advance America's key trade concerns including CAFTA, the WTO and other vital initiatives with the nations of the world.

Pray for those in the Pentagon who are investigating the alleged incident of abuse of the Koran at Guantanamo Bay detention center, that the unrest and disturbances that have been caused may be soothed, restoring respect for all faith traditions in American institutions.

As the nation observes Armed Forces Day, give thanks for the sacrifice and dedication of so many who have given their lives for our freedom. On this holiday, created to express thanks to our military, pray that every member of our Armed Forces will know the gratitude of all Americans for the sacrifice and dedication they have shown in service to the nation. Pray for their safety and protection as they continue to serve.
