What's for dinner?
I picked up some chorizo at Aldi today (Aldi now has chorizo, how cool is that?). I'm making a chile relleno bake. So far, it looks pretty darned good.

7. Beer for me, too, but
Earlier I had a buffalo chicken foot long sub from Subway. I get them with lots of veggies and extra buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. I haven't started cooking for myself yet and I've been out on my own for the last year almost. I'm going to have to pick up some cook books and start going to the grocery store for more than beer and toilet paper.

Trader Joe's had the best garlic hummus.

We told the Caterer for our wedding we liked hummus, he made this HUGE vat (very garlicy) and we were the only ones who ate it. In fact, we ate it for a week. I think we've had it once since the wedding.

I was astonished to find organic cheese and decent Gorgonzola. The service is still non-existent, but hey: it is not like service can be found in any German supermarket.

Funny this: supermarkets thousands of miles apart and yet the same. Then again: Trader Joe's is part of the same company.

Edit: Steak and (home-)mashed potatoes.

24. Cheese, apples, red wine or leftover pork loin with herbed potatoes
mmm seasoned with cumin, onion powder roasted crisp with a drizzle of olive oil, some fresh Brussles Sprouts and a field green salad.

Probably the apples and cheese. Havocdad likes the pork but I don't eat it.

I did whip up 6 pints of 3 pepper hummus and got it in the freezer for when the hot weather hits here.

28. Got a couple of
chicken breasts marinating in whatever I had handy. Gonna go on the grill. Should have had hubby pick up some fresh yellow squash and zuchinni (sp?) at the market. Hafta make do with whatever is in the freezer and fridge. Oh, and wine.

from the local seafood-takeout sounds good. Its maybe three blocks from the house (have to pass it on the way to get beer) and VERY good.

I have the fussy people children here tonight, so I suspect something more kid-friendly like chicken nuggets perhaps.
