Question about tabasco use
I put it on a lot of stuff: eggs, burgers, pizza, popcorn... I even mix it w/ my ketchup when I'm eating french fries.

And I like both the red and the green.

How 'bout you?

1. Try it mixed with steak sauce instead
I don't use the regular tabasco so much anymore, it's just far too vinegary for me.

For stuff you can find in the supermarket I like Cholula, or Franks Extra Red Hot. Tabasco Green is pretty damn yummy though, but I take it up a bit with something hotter. Tabasco Habanero, when I can find it, is grrrr-reat on french bread pizzas.

9. Cholula is the best. Even the REAL Mexican taco stands in AZ use it.
Mmmm...

Anyone for scrambled eggs?

13. Franks is the jam!
I really dig Franks, and Franks Lime-Chili, which is really good for mixing in chili sauce or using on nachos

3. I love hot sauce...
I'm assuming you were using Tabasco in the way people use Band Aid, Q-Tip and Vaselline. In other words a brand name to apply to a general product. I'm not nuts about Tabasco brand. I prefer Franks as my mainstream brand but I will buy lots of individual and regional hot sauces as well. I put it on everything also.

5. Don't care for the green
If I want something hotter than Tabasco I go for the scotch bonnet stuff I find at the Caribbean market.

10. I even used to put red Tabasco in my beer! (ah, crazy college days)
For the record, I think she was talking about Tabasco the brand.

Red and green are both great.

The red is best for stuff like Red Beans & Rice or Gumbo.

The green works great to spice up a mild salsa.

for my tastes. I'd rather use my own thermonuckear habanero sauce.

A block of cream cheese, green onions, minced black olives & shredded cheese. Spread the mixture on tortilla shells. Roll them up & slice into little rolls. As Rachael Ray says, "Yum - O."
