the july exam i was at the javits center with the thousands of other people - this time i had my back to the intrepid and looking out at the other piers. gotta say it was a nicer experience on the whole.

currently have a job but will be changing to a a new one at a firm after the summer. as for goals, well to be happy and make a difference in the world top the list . . . .

When the wife and I bought a house in New York (Westchester), we were shocked to find five lawyers at the closing. One for us, one for the closing company, one for the mortgage company, one for the Guy that sold us the house and one for his ex-wife. I knew then that this was going to be a very expensive place to live........

On the other hand, the inestimable David Feige, an honorable attorney that is a champion for the hated - to the point of being castigated in person, on O'Reilly's show, for daring to defend GUILTY defendants is one of my wife's cousins. And I attended Pace University, whose Law School is a great defender of the environment in New York.

Here's to you being an attorney of the latter variety......

29. don't i know it

i took it in july (like every other new law school grad) and missed passing by four points. four lousy points out of a thousand - do the math and i missed by about .5%. talk about frustrating, not to mention infuriating. but then i chalked that up to a combination of nerves and preparing for my wedding - yes, i graduated, studied for and took the bar, started a new job and got married, all within about 4 months. what was i thinking?

Go play... just one word of advice... don't follow the example of a college buddy of mine....

He worked hard in college - got into a good law school. Kept working his butt off - did Law Review (maybe even editor?) Then, on graduation day...he and some buddies broke into a bar (owned by a friend, iirc) - and got caught by the cops.
