Your most recent item purchased online?
I love shopping online, it saves me time, trouble, and yes, money.

The last item I purchased:

A children's sized picnic table w/umbrella for my 2 year old twin grandgirlies in Florida. Found it through Amazon's Toys link, and it was fabulous, no tax, shipping was less than if I bought and dragged this item to the local UPS Store to package and send.

I love shopping online. Mostly for books, cds and dvds, and travel related stuff, but may be moving up to bigger items based on better selections available outside my little live shopping world !

6. Union-made jeans at nosweatapparel.com!
My wife and I are doing tons of our shopping online lately to get the union-made, fair-trade alternative.

I just bought my 4th pair of jeans at No Sweat Apparel, they are very good, well-cut jeans and I recommend you buy some, they're only 35.50!
Small price to pay for no sweat!

20. Much easier to donate online too!
I think our compassionate giving online is the ultimate benefit of sharing our personal wealth. In fact, sending money for a cause makes me feel better than a new DVD purchase!

Internet shopping/donating may just change the way spending money makes us feel good :) Like, if feel crappy, instead of buying a new pair of shoes (which I don't NEED), I send $ to the local animal shelter. Speak of feel GOOD spending!

24. and Verizon...
The good part is that I have never used even half the minutes in my plan, so I chose a different plan that's half the minutes and nearly half the price. Most of my cell calls are short or "in network" (and free), so I didn't need 900 minutes a month. Sooo... after a year, the new phone pays for itself, or something like that.

This has got to be my tenth cell phone

...it's a "sport" to me! With eBay savvy, this can be and extension of one's garage and antique hunt hobbyies too. I love the hunt, but usually find better deals with trusted eBay sellers, which I always find.

Probably why eBay gets such a bum rap in the MSM !

35. Me too....and I'll never forget it....
...it was a vintage Star Wars character, I believe it was a Munthra mint in the box... (sp?)...the seller ran on hard times despite his high ratings, and, long story short and the bottom line, I lost $45. Only because I wasn't pissed enough to ask him for an immediate Pay Pal refund, and I blame my compassionate liberalism for that....LOL. I certainly could have gotten my money back, but this was a case, I was trying to be patient for a stranger's hard times...never again!

I was ordering a child swing for my granddaughter's BD. I'd been to about 8 stores and called several more and they were out. I ended up ordering directly from the company..step 2.

The swing cost $30 ..but the shipping at two other places was ridiculous. One charged a flat fee plus an addition .90 per pound..around $14 total..the other..a big toy store..charge $23.99 to ship it!! Can you believe that..$23.99 to ship a $30 item..that weighs 8#'s. Step 2 charged $9.00 shipping a much better deal!
