So, there is this psychic on the radio taking calls . . .
. . . And this lady calls in and starts asking about her health or career or some shit like that, and the psychic suddenly interrupts her and says, "Hold it, hold it. Who is Robert?"

And the caller goes, "Oh my God, he is my friend. He recently died and I'm in his house right now." And the psychic replies, "He is there with you."

You aren't allowed to use psychic powers to gain riches. It is forbidden, unholy, evil, etc. . . . .

15. I called in to a psychic on the radio once
Edited on Sat May-07-05 11:23 PM by finecraft
First thing he asked me was "So what kind of new car are you going to buy?" My first thought was, oh gee, what a loser this guy must be.....I had the same car for 8 years, it was paid off, still ran like a champ, and the thought of buying a new one had not ever crossed my mind. I told him that I wasn't getting a new car, and he told me "Yes you are....in less than a month." I thought sure, fat chance of that happening. He then told me some other crap about getting an exciting new job and my finances would be improving. Yeah, right. I had the same job for 8 years and wasn't looking for a new one, and I didn't have any sick relatives that would be leaving me any money in their will anytime soon to improve my finances. That was on Tuesday.

On Thursday, I was driving to work and a woman backing out of her driveway hit my car with her huge truck....totaled my car. Bought a new car on the following Monday. On the following Wednesday I got to work (in my new car) and there was a State Trooper standing at the entrance. Seems the owner of the place I worked at had not paid any taxes (state, federal, payroll...the whole ball of wax) for over two years, and the state had seized the property and shut the business down, and I was now unemployed. Went to the unemployment office and applied for benefits on Thursday. Friday morning they called and sent me on an interview for a position they had just received a listing on. Got hired that day....making double what I made at my old job.

Coincidence????

19. It was a local guy
His name is Bret Balen. That happened six years ago, so I don't know if he is still in this area or not. I'm not usually a big believer in this kind of stuff, but after that, who knows

21. Yep....true story
There's nothing worse than being in an accident, having your car totaled, buying a new one with a large monthly payment and showing up for work excited to show everyone your new car....only to find out you no longer have a job. I had never even heard of the place the unemployment office sent me to for my new job, but boy am I ever thankful they sent me there! Six years later, I can still honestly say that it's the best job I've ever had.
