So I watched "National Treasure" last night...

And it actually was a pretty decent flick. You basically have to suspend all disbelief (which is really hard to do with this film), but all in all I thought it was entertaining.

on edit- it's the first film I've seen featuring Harvey Keitel in which he:
1. Doesn't drop an F-bomb
2. Doesn't shout his lines once.
3. Doesn't show his willy.

3. definitely keep her away then...
It's the most likeable role i've ever seen him in: loving husband, father, daredevil rescuer and...

he dies very sadly at the end.

So yeah tell her I said it sucked.

5. You had to suspend disbelief?
I don't know, that seems unusual for most modern films. I mean, Hitchhikers Guide seemed pretty plausible.

I remember watching Terminal and thinking "yeah right!" then discovering on Snopes that it's based on a true story.

11. Kids can definitely see this movie and really enjoy it
No sex, lots of action, no extreme language and some good history lessons thrown in...it was just a ton of fun.

Saw it two times.

side note: Saraha is another one just like it. Somewhat more violent (more people die) but again, not loaded with profanity, no sex and a rocking good story.

8. That's Disney for ya!
But I prefer Keitel in his usual performances.

Free the Harvey Two!

9. They basically stole the "Da Vinci Code" and Americanized it, huh?
I've got it on my queue at Netflix, and I imagine I'll like it a lot...

just seems funny that it's basically an Americanized "Da Vinci Code", with the point being money instead of enlightenment or belief systems.

How American, LOL!
