I do recall the ad having the words "scent to bed". Oh dear! I'm becoming a prude right before my very eyes. It's not pretty.

Clothier swears name is clean fun
But school won't pardon French on students' shirts

Here's a quick way to tick off your parents and school: Wear a T-shirt emblazoned with the abbreviation FCUK.

It certainly caught the attention of officials at Maine South High School last week, who spotted two students wearing the shirts by French Connection United Kingdom. The T-shirts--intended to promote a new men's and women's cologne--also include the phrase: "Scent to Bed."

The principal at the Park Ridge school thinks it smells.

"While there may not be anything directly obscene about it, the inference is clear to anyone," said Principal David Claypool, who said students were asked to change into something less offensive.

He said the shirts violate a school policy that states "students are expected to dress in a manner that does not disrupt the school environment and is consistent with acceptable community standards."
