5. Uninstall and reinstall it.
That will usually fix the problem pretty fast.

7. Mine gets flaky sometimes when JAVA is involved
And other rseource-hogging plug-ins. It will just freeze up. I just close it then reopen, and wait a couple of minutes while it sorts things out. In case that's the problem.

11. That's exactly
why I never installed the Java extension. Too many weaknesses and exploits there.

12. I don't remember being asked about installing it.
Is there a difference between JAVA and the JAVA extension? How do you uninstall a JAVA extension, and do JAVA sites still work without it? Sorry, I'm good with computers, but I know almost nothing about the intricacies of JAVA.

9. I'm having some problems with mine too
It blocks up pop-ups effectively but other than that I'm not sure it is any better than IE. One strange thing is that when typing on a discussion board, I can't skip down a line of text to edit. I have to forward stroke by stroke through an entirely line of text to get to the one below. That bothers me.

13. I've never had that problem
I edit posts all the time. Maybe try reloading it?

It seems faster than IE to me, and it allows me to open several windows at once, using tabs, without it slowing my computer down, which is what I like. I do have problems on a couple of pages with it formatting poorly, and then there's the JAVA thing. But no edit problems.
