3. Then you'll be the best parent.
Really.

The ones that really creep me out are the ones that can handle anything. Smoothly. Stepfordish, and all that.

6. You can call me lots of things but
not mommy. I hate when couples call each other mommy and daddy. It really gives me the creeps.

5. Here is an example of why my kids think I am too weird and random
A friend and I took 12 14 year old girls to the beach for the day to celebrate one of their birthdays. Well, some boys were bothering them and they were ignoring them, so one of them 'Barney', threw sand in my daughter's face. My friend and I were sitting at a picnic table when they came over to get some food and told us about it.

So, I stood up and yelled at Barney...Yo, Barney, what is up with the throwing of sand in my daughter's face? He turned around like he was going to moon me. I said to the girls (and the entire rooftop deck of this restaurant) "He thinks he is going to moon me!". As he started to drop the towel, I yelled, "Hey Barney, that looks like a p.... , only smaller". The entire place went nuts, Barney got in his car and skulked away.

Score one for the mom in the DU tee shirt.

7. I used to
And then I turned 33, met someone, got married, and fathered a son at 38 and a daughter at 40. It happens. What I can say is that I would feel better about children raised by most DUers (particularly after the whole Andy Stephenson story) than I would about children raised by more typical greedy, avaricious, envious Americans.

So, grow up and start pumping out liberal babies, NOW.

:dilemma:

Volunteers? (You have to marry me too, kind of old fashioned that way.)

It would make my mother very happy.

13. I am just waiting for the resentment in the future.
I have been teaching my four year old how to be a good lib in a rural red state. Nothing like throwing a bumper sticker of Kerry/Edwards in the backseat and telling her to hold it up to the window when I honk the horn. Or when her mommy tells her how Republicans want to fatten her up so that they can cook her in an oven later. Or the bedtime stories about how Bush stole the election from our real president, Al Gore and now Gore wants his country back(it sounds more like an evil sorcerer-Cheney,the idiot savant-Bush, and the good prince-Gore but she really enjoys the stories. We have been working on the Kerry story right now.)

18. you can't be too wierd with kids
the weirder the better I say. Recently we took a short day trip and decided to have lunch at a Polish restaurant in Hamtramic. Coming back to the freeway we passed a building called The Detroit Nipple Factory and a man was coming out. I suggested to my sister that we stop the guy and ask him to show us his nipples. My 12 yrd old son spoke up and and said "don't do it mom... your going to ruin my street cred. "Street Cred? You're 12 and live in the suburbs how in the heck did you get street cred", I asked. I swear the boy was slinking down in the seat and hiding so he wouldn't be seen with two old bats teasing a guy about his nipples.

21. Yes and thanks to you all
Rules for teenagers parents:
Other people's kids like you better than your own does.
You are always bugging your kid.
You don't care enough about your kid.
You care too much and don't have a life of your own mom.
I need to get X at the store right now or pick up my friends right now.
You rock.
You suck.
You are a hard ass, must bug everyone to get chores done. You are accused of liking this role. You give up this role. You are accused of not caring that the house is full of huge dust bunnies, toilet stinks, dishes are all dirty and there is no pizza or chips anywhere in the house.

I like DU
