Ok so I doubt this will work but oh well. Come and join, you dont have to have Aspergers to join obviously.

1. The problem is that there's probably only four of us.
Maybe we could establish a DU group...

5. Is there some sort of minimum of potential posters to start a group??
Or could we just advocate any group regardless of potential usership??

7. Thanks man
There are times where I accept having it since it makes me do things that most people can't, like I got a great memory for names, dates, explains my history skills but I am also very introverted.

9. Are you actually diagnosed with that?
Not trying to be nosy or heartless; I just wondered if you know you have it or just think you do.

10. I was diagnosed when I was a sophomore I believe
Even saw a specialist for a while but I stopped seeing her, I didnt like the woman at all, she was trying to place limits on me, like telling me I could never drive, etc, I dunno.

15. There is no reason you should have limits
placed on your activities, rights, and potential. Your specialist sounds like they were trained long ago when people knew nothing. I'm glad you got away from someone with a mentality like that.

16. Actually she was like 30 I think at the time
Yeah I am glad I stopped seeing her too, ha good thing abotu those appointments was that me and my brother actually got to agree on something, like God "Dr "her name here" doesnt know what the fuck she's talking about and doesn't understand us one damn bit", see the whole family came to these. My social skills have been envolving for the better though, I make eye contact at work I think and thast always been a problem for me.

17. I have the eye contact problem too.
And sometimes if a person hugs me a little too tight (which isn't very tight at all), I feel like it's too much stimulation for me or something. I love hugs, but they feel different to me than for other people I have talked to about this. Do they sometimes feel like "too much" to you too?

Ive yet to have a real first kiss. Its real hard for me to truly reveal myself which may sound odd because I ramble here a lot but I actualy hold a lot in my mind back.

12. I haven't been diagnosed, but
I'd join just to compare notes. I do believe I may have it. I sure don't function like most people on an emotional level and I find patterns in numbers, art, blades of grass, and almost anything you can think of just absolutely addictive. People that know me in the real world say I don't respond like other people to verbal cues and body language. I just expect people to be straightforward. I think that's why I love the internet so much, especially DU. People spell it out literally, so I can respond. I would never notice smiles and stuff like that in the real world.

19. I looked it up
"The child with Asperger's shows below-average nonverbal communication gestures, fails to develop peer relationships, has an inability to express pleasure in other people's happiness, and lacks the ability to reciprocate emotionally in normal social interactions. The condition appears to be more common in boys. There are likely genetic factors, but some theories suggest a prenatal infection may be to blame." http://health.yahoo.com/health/ency/adam/001549

That doesn't sound like you Kleeb.

24. two things:
You're obviously very intelligent, especially for your age, but really for any age. And second, you strike me as a very kind person. Of course I only see you through this computer screen, but that is nonetheless my impression. The definition would seem to preclude those two things. But obviously you know your own medical history.

27. well, it said poor verbal skills
which is why I noted intelligence. I guess they aren't the same. I assume if someone can write, they also can speak. Perhaps that's a wrong assumption on my part.

30. I will definitely join
I am totally scared of learning how to drive. I'm afraid of losing my focus on the road for even a millisecond. I sure wish I would have known I had this when I was younger. I would have been able to make sense of things and be so depressed growing. I don't want to be dependent of others for the rest of my life but if I cannot drive, I don't feel I have a choice.
