I took a drive after work, and learned several things
about Atlanta's suburbs.

1. WalMart supercenters are king!!! There's about 5 within a 20 mile radius.

2. Possums and racoons need to employ a crossing guard. The streets are littered with their dead.

1. I think it's a massive raccoon suicide pact
I see a lot of them here in Mass. too. :(

I feel so sorry for the little suckers, I love raccoons.

2. Um, the WalMart standard practice...
...is to open a whole slew of those things in an area, wait until they drive every other competing business into bankruptcy, then close all but one of the 'supercenters'.

Just sayin'.

4. They are doing this in my area too...
I don't live in the south either (central NJ) There are now 3 Wal-Marts within a 15 mile radius. There was one for the longest time (about 10 years). Then last summer one opened up 4 miles from my house!!:puke: Then the other day I was driving further down the road that the new Wal-Mart was on (maybe another 5 or 6 miles) I noticed ANOTHER Wal-Mart. I swear it went up over night. What the Fuck is going on in my area?

8. I don't know about the possums but...
there is this cute family of groundhogs that live in a cornfield across from my development. I see them every day, I'd be really sad if I saw one of them dead on the road. They actually wanted to put a Wal-Mart in that field. I kid you not, the location 3 miles away was a compromise
