Poll question: Who would you like to see win "Amazing Race"?
For the record, Meredith and Gretchen are the oldest couple ever to make it this far.

2. Your an my idea of the word "deserve" must be as far apart as Dubya's
and my idea of "what's good for America".

Bob's an asshole's asshole, and Amber just sucks that huge asshole constantly. They both give Americans a bad name abroad.

Into the king and queen of "reality" TV.

11. Maybe his problem was he was a defiled alter-boy and he's taking it
out on the rest of humanity. Is bung-hole must be on fire, which has made him the dumbest a-hole on the planet next to Buscho & Co.

31. He lies and cheats
She's codependent.

They don't deserve to even BE there let alone win!

I'm so pissed at the producers for even having them on. I love the show otherwise. I'm so disappointed.

5. You forgot to add anybody but
Rob & Amber. I despise them with every fiber of my being. I hope they don't reproduce. The world doesn't need any more low life lying despicable people like them. They are skanks.

But then again, the game is all about who can be the most disgusting human being possible, so maybe they should win.

16. Nah, That's Survivor, where the purpose is to be as disgusting as
possible. This is the first Amazing Race that has seen that level of nastiness, and it's entirely due to that little shithead. Before, the really personal conflicts have always been internal, between the contestant couples themselves and not often between them and other couples. BR has brought Amazing Race down to the same back-biting, cheating, lying level as Survivor.

Yet I still feel for the old couple.

And I'm glad to see all of them whipping Ramber's asses the past two weeks.

12. Wanna know why?
Edited on Sat Apr-30-05 04:01 AM by Seabiscuit
1. They have consistently been the sweetest couple in this competition.

2. They and only they helped out the old couple after the old couple came in last and lost everything, including their clothes except what they were wearing, after an especially excrutiating day, and the clothes they were wearing stunk like hell. They also gave them some of their money.

3. They obviously love each other. Unlike many in the competition, they never fight. Of course, Rob and Amber never fight, because Rob totally dominates Amber, who is totally submissive. This was apparent during their "Survivor" episode, where Rob used Amber to get to the final tribal council where he knew he didn't have a chance, and Amber won, so Rob proposed to her, after romancing her throughout the contest, just to use her so he could get a piece of her winnings.
Rob is the biggest slut on the planet. If I could kick him in the balls, cyberwise, I would.

4. They have gone through several heartbreaks of failed IVF's. After being laid off by Enron and Worldcom, they can't afford any more. Watching their expressions while they viewed Africans in an orphanage, and seeing their hopefulness and love for the possibility of adoption, I really identified (unfortunately, they can't even afford to adopt right now). My wife and I went through several failed IVFs, including a miscarriage, before we had our first (extremely good looking and healthy) son on September 23, 2004. My heart goes out to both of them simply because I've been there and know the pain.

If ever there was a couple who deserved to win a million dollars, this couple is it.

I pray that there is a God up there somewhere looking out for these two wonderful people who deserve so much to be the parents they've dreamed for so long to be.

17. You are correct on all counts!
They are truly an amazing couple.

One correction however, the gay couple also gave the older couple money when they were in need. In many ways, they were just as deserving.

22. Youre right - I really liked the gay couple as well,
and especially enjoyed them giving it their all and catching up to and passing Rob & Amber paddling that boat down the river.

I was sorry to see them eliminated. They were a lot of fun and were obviously having a lot of fun.

I'm completely obsessed with this show. I've never missed an episode on any season.

I liked Uchenna and Joyce the whole season, but they won my heart when they were exceptionally kind to one another during the head shaving fast-forward. (And, she looks so pretty bald that I almost want to hate her for it. :))

15. Uchenna and Joyce
The play the game hard without being a-holes. I still kinda have a place in my heart for Meredith and Gretchen, but the only reason they're still in the game is because of Uchenna and Joyce. Seriously, besides Gretchen stepping up to climb the rope ladder, they've done nothing to help themselves these past few weeks. I get frustrated watching Meredith and Gretchen. It feels like watching my father trying to figure out the DVD remote.

33. I read an article that said most people are like you (and me)
Ratings are off because of them.

They have a small unfair advantage that people recognize them from Survivor and want to help them (or Rob coerces them to help.) Grrrrrrr, I really despise them.

23. Uchenna and Joyce all the way!
if not them, then Gretchen and Meredith. Both are couples that seem to have a level of respect compared to the Romber whores.
BTW-I heard that the Romber wedding will be televised about 2 weeks or so after TAR. Lucky us.
How soon do we have to watched the televised courtroom antics of the Romber divorce?

24. Okay, I'll admit it...
Edited on Mon May-02-05 03:15 AM by TheGoldenRule
Ever since my favorite brothers were eliminated, I've been rooting for Rob and Amber to win. Sure they were evil on Survivor...But they have made The Amazing Race really interesting this season and most importantly they haven't grated on my nerves like most of the other contestants have that are still in the race. I don't think Rob and Amber have behaved like ugly Americans at all. The only time they were rude was when they didn't stop for the brothers after the accident. Other than that, Rob and Amber have made this season of The Amazing Race fun and given it a nice edginess-where in contrast this season of Survivor is the biggest snoozefest ever!

Edited to add that I don't see that Rob & Amber have brought any ugliness to the show. However, just remember there have been plenty of antagonistic people on the race before-and that's on every season. Sheesh, last season Victoria and Jonathan were extremely horrible and so nasty! Rob and Amber have simply been strong competition-as equally tough as everyone else. Lastly, I just have to say that I really like how Rob treats Amber like a Queen! :)

25. Rob and Amber are the latest
Edited on Mon May-02-05 02:59 AM by LibDemAlways
fame whores to turn their 15 minutes into 30. A couple of ordinary people who are savvy enough to have become sweeps-worthy tv celebs by hooking up on one "reality" show, winning a million dollars, and trading on their fame to try for another million -- while seeing a good chunk of the world on someone else's dime. Then CBS believes they are ratings worthy enough to throw them a big prime time wedding during sweeps. They may not be everyone's definition of likable, but they sure as hell know how to ride a gravy train.

28. Amen to that.
That guy has gotten a lot of mileage out of his "I was a POW" meme. OK, fine. We honor your service. Whatever. But now you're back and healthy enough to traipse around the world with some vapid "beauty queen" you barely know and apparently can't stand.

I wish the two of them had gotten eliminated back at the beginning. A couple of pains in the ass the show could have done without.

I wrote CBS and told them that if they insist on getting professional reality show contestants, they just lost a longtime viewer of the show.
