7. I think the stuff happened, but it's kinda like the Mud Shark story

From what I read there was a woman who had various parts of a fish caught from the balcony at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle put in places I can't mention here at DU. But the story got blown out of proportion of who, if anyone from Led Zeppelin was involved. I think it was finally deemed that someone from Vanilla Fudge and a manager for LZ was actually involved using fish that was caught by John Bonham. (http://www.snopes.com/music/artists/mudshark.asp)

But who really knows. I'm not saying that LZ was a bunch of angels on tour. I highly doubt it since it was the 70s and rock stars could get away with alot more than what they could today. But I had a friend who did read the book and personally we think the guy probably embellished some to make the book more marketable.

9. I'm a purist when it comes to Led Zeppelin

If I were to write a biography about myself (yeah, like anyone would buy that) so many of my memories are wrapped around LZ mainly of songs that would be involved in events that have happened throughout my life. SO there's a certain ideological purity that I have about the band which prevents me from reading an unauthorized biography about them. Sounds all kinda strange, but their music was there when I was going through some really tough times after my father passed away.

However, if any of the surviving members of LZ were to put out a book about their years in LZ, I would most definately read them!
