24 Fans -- question.... (sorry if its old news)
I want to buy into 24 but...if the prez had advance notice that airforce one was going down (even minutes) wouldnt disabling and destroying the football have been his #1 priority?

Also, why would didnt a military plane scramble to the crash site to back Jack up and/or drop off paratrooper commandos? There are bases all of CA and s/west.

Sorry if this is 2 episodes old....

1. there is so much fucked up with 24 this year

First off, do you really believe that is how the Nuclear football works? That there are no safeguards built in? No. And how would the President have survived the plane crash anyway? How would the football have survived entirely undamaged?

And what about the plot line with all the nuclear power plants connected through one electronic circuit. How absurd.

And don't get me started on the torture. And the ridiculous portrayal of a civil libertarian VP.

That used to be my favorite show, but I'm pissed off with them this year.

Whatever happened to Beirus, or however you spell it, the Muslim teenage boy?

3. A civil libertarian REPUBLICAN VP
How unrealistic!

With Behroos, I'm pretty sure they killed him, although in television, unless you see them die, they're never actually dead, so who knows?

4. they beat Palmer in an election?
Is that how they came to office? That's how you know he is Republican?

6. Palmer didn't run
And the President in this season was the Senator running against him in last season.

5. My Mom and I were just talking about Behroos
Kiefer Sutherland is on the cover of the new TV Guide, so we started talking about the show and we were both trying to figure out if they killed Behrooz or not. After CTU traded him for Jack, he simply disappeared. I hope they let us know what happened to him ... I liked that kid.

I also liked Shohreh Aghdashloo (Dina) very much! I'm sorry they got rid of her so soon - she's a very compelling actress. :-)

About the football ... will someone please explain to me why I can buy a home safe with a fingerprint lock but the NUCLEAR FOOTBALL doesn't have one??? :eyes:
