He has seemed a bit on edge in some of his recent posts, but I didn't witness whatever happened to bring this about. I always hate to see a good progressive leave the board for whatever reason, especially a real character like Dookus.

I've been here a while. I can't recall a single instance where someone got banned for anything other than a really good reason. Skinner et al. don't tend to be power-mad capricious assholes, and they give a lot of thought to a situation where a long-timer might get bounced.

I guess I'm saying that before this turns into yet another unjustified tapdance on Skinner's head, we should probably find out what happened. Bear in mind that as smart and sharp as Dookus was, he could push the envelope from time to time. It takes one to know one, so take my word for it.
