Anyone else a fan of Gilad the exercise guy?
the "Israeli Stud Muffin". He has a commerical running on FitTV where he says, "give me your body for a few short weeks and I'll show you what I can do with it." Hoo boy - yes PLEASE. :D

I've switched to Sharon Mann and Cathe Friedrich lately, but I love his workouts, too. He just uses too much equipment that I don't have. I love the stuff he says to encourage you, though. He's good.

I used to try and do his workout but finally just sat down and watched him. I enjoyed that much more:D

3. I used to just watch him until he called me LAZY
f*** that! I got up and started moving! I like that he has his mom on the show sometimes. LOL, once he had his dad on but his mom kept telling Gilad to "go easy on him". I think Gilad is a HOOT! :D

4. I used to catch him back in the late '80s and early '90s
My wife would exercise with his TV presence whereas I just found it kind of fascinating to listen to him -- he had a very positive manner and seems extremely knowledgable (I didn't get inspired to jump around becqause I've always had something of an impenetrable mental barrier against exercising to a videotape or TV broadcast). Unlike some of his competition, he didn't promote exercises or moves that are bad for the body, too.

But the real highlight for me was this babe he had on...his sister? Yummy. YUM-MMMYYY. And not annoyingly uber-perky like Denise Austin et al.

Didn't know he was still going. Good for him.

Just looked at Google...yep, it was his sister, Ada Janklowicz. Seriously, she was a babe, but she came across as very straightforward and no-nonsense, just like her brother. Not surprising, because (after she completed a voluntary stint with the Israeli Defense Forces) she was a fitness instructor to the Israeli military before her brother got her into the video thing.

Wow, I used to watch him way back in the late 80s. He always had me cracking up -- he was just so very upbeat. But my favorite was watching him try to stretch out during his cool down. He had to have had the tightest quads, hip flexors and hamstrings in the business. :)

7. keep working at it, Kathy
I would advise people who don't like exercise to try Gilad - he is fun and breezy yet firm in his instructions - when he does the more difficult stuff he does three short reps of them; I find that his workouts are never boring or exasperating.
