Need help identifying quality of a computer

My step-dad, in his futile attempts to avoid paying for a computer for my brother and I, just brought home a used Macintosh/Apple PC computer. I think it's a pc....it has that box thing. Anyways, on the "PC" it says "Macintosh Performa(nce?) 6400/200". Thanks...and if y'all need any more info about it, I can try my best to get it.
