Is it possible to get store credit for opened software?
:banghead:

I installed a new program today (PowerDVD 5) and it locked up when I ran it. I was able to use Task Manager to close it, but it should just work.

Things were fine after I uninstalled it.

The support website had nothing to offer and I already have the latest drivers for everything.

I checked out their return policy - which took forever to find (x(), but when I did it said to go to this other site to inquire. I did, but the web site didn't come up.

Will the store be nice enough to give me at least store credit? I sure as hell refuse to re-install XP because of its insane activation policy.

1. Depends entirely on the store.
If they won't accept your return, you know of at least one place to NOT buy your next software package.

4. Agreed. AND
I'm going to netflix from now on too. Or amazon.com for titles I know I want.

3. Tell them
that you didn't agree with the EULA that popped up when you tried to install it.

5. That seems as unlikely as anything else though it's the most bulletproof
reason to use... but I'd rather tell them the truth.
