Poll question: Extraterrestrial Life. Are we alone in the universe? Or not?
Was Roswell bullshit or were we visited in 1947? Ancient hieroglyphics show images of beings in flying machines.

10. I wish I could take credit,
but my 7 year old newphew said that to me one night as we lay on the grass stargazing.

2. now i'm not gonna try to "prove" anything, because
frankly the proof that exists is a bit suspect...but it's a gut feeling of mine. there are so many planets and galaxies in our universe, how can it be that there is only ONE little planet in a backwater corner of the universe that has some form of life? whenever i hear that, i smell a whiff of human superiority complex.

3. Doesn't "God" qualify as an alien?
I don't think we have little green men running around. But I think it is clear that there are forms of life we can't even comprehend. The universe is a big place there is other life out there.

4. I don't know if there is intelligent life, but I am sure there is life
elsewhere. They have found evidence of life even within our own solar system, I can't imagine that one of the 100,000,000,000 stars out there don't have an orbiting rock with similar conditions as us.

7. There is absolutely life, and intelligent life, in the universe
But whether they've visited us, I don't know.

9. The proof that there is intelligent life in the universe...
is the fact that it hasn't tried to contact us.

11. I believe there probably is...
But that they are so far away, it would take them many thousands, maybe millions, of years to get here.

We can't be the only place in the universe that can sustain life, but I suspect that we may never find the other planets that could.

13. We are not alone.
I don't have much proof but to me it just seems like there has to be something else out there.

14. I'm sure that there either has been, is, or will be other intellegent life
in the universe. I don't know if we have ever been visited by them, though.

15. Given the conservative estimate
That there are Billions upon billions of stars in the universe, with trillions of planets orbitting them. The assumption that we are the ONLY one to ever develop sentient life, is EXTREMELY ARROGANT.

I believe there to be life out there. As to how advanced it is, who knows ? Will we ever encounter it ? Can't say. We can cross that road when we get there, until then it's just harmless conjecture.

17. I'm not a "Chariots of the Gods" believer
But I think that if there are alien races out there with technology surpassing our own, they are better off leaving us alone until we are a world worthy of joining interstellar travelers. The population of Earth at this current time is just so filled with warmongers, unstable religious zealots, greedy and powerhungry leaders, and a whole fear, intolerance and suspicion of anything and everything foreign, that it would be committing suicide for anyone to bother revealing their presence to us.

Until--if EVER--the people of earth can finally get together and preach or live off the same page, perhaps then we will have a greater chance of making first contact. Of course, at our current rate, that won't be for centuries longer.

23. I've read so much through the years
so I might have touched upon his work already, but I haven't devoted much time to a lot of my interests since this current administration came into power. My energy has been directed fulltime at getting these assholes out of office, and as we all know, it's been a largely wasted effort. :(

24. The population of the universe is Zero.
We know the universe is filled with an infinite number of stars and planets but not all of them have life. Since any finite number going into infinity is practically zero none of us exist.

25. No way are we alone. Statistically impossible.
I'm even pretty certain that there are other advanced civilizations out there. Probably lots of them. But the conceit that they'd keep dropping by to study little ol' us because we're so special, don't you know, always has me shaking my head and laughing.
