1. Here's a worse nightmare:
You trade Cameron back to my Reds for Griffey Jr. And pick up his salary. Do the Mariners still have Cameron, by the way?

2. Yes, and we love him, BTW
Drag about Griffey's ankle. I think he might be through for good - what do you think?

6. Supposed to be back in the Spring. That's what they say, anyway.
I don't blame you for liking Cameron. I knew he was the real deal when he was at Cincinnati. Bret Boone is still one of my favorite players, too.

I really liked the "Boone Family All-Star Story," too.

So you have two of my favorite players, and I still root for them. Life isn't fair sometimes, and it's never fair to Reds' fans. Well, for the last decade anyway.

7. Cammy
I took my dad to a Mariners game on Sept. 9, 2001 (we call it our last truly happy day for a while. It was Cal Ripken's last game in Seattle, so they had a wonderful pregame ceremony for him.

But ... during batting practice, Cammy had his oldest son out in left field taking some pitches. He was 5 or something at the time, and MAN, could that kid HIT! My dad and I, as well as everyone around us, were saying that we'd bet anything that kid's going to be a pro someday. Seriously, he could hit the ball halfway across the field. Mike was so proud - it was great to see!

I like Boonie too - I love how he told off Selig this week.

17. As a Reds fan, I'm envious.
But if my Reds can't win it all, the Mariners might as well. Good luck.

5. Whew, oh yeah!
But Melvin did pull Cirillo and had Mabry pinch hit (ex-cellent-ay move), and good old Ichiro hits a grand slam. Woo hoo!

4. Ah, but then
John Mabry hits for Cirillo -- and eventually, Ichiro hits a grand slam. How sweet it is!

8. Ichiro hit a grand slam?

un-freakin-believable!!!

my fave memory of Bammy is the first year he played in Seattle and he pulled a ball in so prettily and it was still a tough catch and the crowd gave him a standing ovation. It teared me up when he came up in the next inning and got another standing ovation even after he struck out. Seattle has been in love with him ever since and is always willing to spend time with the fans. He's just ab all around nice guy.
