How many posts does a person make before I quit saying
"Welcome to DU?" and no longer consider them a newbie.

50, 100 ??

I know it is a silly question, but just wondered what everybody thought.

7. Go by time, instead of # of posts
Some people have been here a long time but don't talk much, some are the opposite. Check their profile for how long they've been a member, and then say hi, if you think it's a reasonable amount of time :) That's what I do, anyway...
