Packers Fans Vote On 110 Year Old Booze Ban
<snip>

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- There's one neighborhood in Green Bay where you can't enjoy a beer while watching the Packers -- although that could soon change.

Voters will decide Tuesday whether to end a 110-year-old ban on alcohol in a 3-by-2-mile area on Green Bay's west side.

Area business leaders leaders say the ban has hurt development. But some people worry about crime and the character of the neighborhood changing.

More than 20,000 people will be asked whether to let restaurants and hotels serve alcohol. Bars would still be banned.

3. Bars would still be banned?
Isn't that why they're here?

With all due respect to Green Bay, they don't sound like the kind of city one would straddle the bar for a peach-apricot smoothie.
