Let me get this straight.
If the DU clocks say it's 11, but my clock says it's 12, does that mean in two hours I'll be ahead one hour, behind one hour, or right where I started? :crazy:

5. What's bothering me
Windows on my computer has not changed my time and asked me to accept the settings.

I've never had a computer that didn't perform this function automatically.

Am I really here?

:scared:

21. "Papa Can You Hear Me"
From the Yentl soundtrack!

PRAYER
Oh God-our heavenly Father.
Oh, God-and my father
Who is also in heaven.
May the light of this
Flickering candle
Illuminate the night the way
Your spirit illuminates my soul.

Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you see me?
Papa can you find me in the night?
Papa are you near me?
Papa, can you hear me?

Papa, can you help me not be frightened?
Looking at the skies I seem to see
A million eyes which ones are yours?
Where are you now that yesterday
Has waved goodbye
And closed its doors?

The night is so much darker;
The wind is so much colder;
The world I see is so much bigger
Now that I'm alone.
Papa, please forgive me.
Try to understand me;

Papa, don’t you know I had no choice?
Can you hear me praying,
Anything I'm saying
Even though the night is filled with voices?
I remember everything you taught me
Every book 1've ever read...

Can all the words in all the books
Help me to face what lies ahead?
The trees are so much taller
And I feel so much smaller;
The moon is twice as lonely
And the stars are half as bright...
Papa, how I love you...
Papa, how I need you.
Papa, how I miss you
Kissing me good night...

Don't be scared. Did your settings on your computer's clock accidentally get changed to "don't automatically do dst"? If so, I think it's a good sign the computers are on board with our master plans. We might want to law low with this idea though. Just act cool.

7. Well, you'll have plenty of time to think about it
between now and then. Of course, something tells me none of us will know what time it REALLY is for days. I always have a hard time adjusting to the time changes. I really do wish they'd get their act together, Timex et al. you know?

20. You know? I just learned that
Indiana doesn't DO dst. There's two states already who see our wisdom. How very interesting.

A petition would be great. We'll ask if we can make up flyers on DU to invite people to sign it.

22. Oooh that IS interesting.
I bet we could get like 2,000 signatures on here, at least. And then around our towns and then we send if off to Congress and then no more DAYLIGHT SAVINGS! :7

23. I'm already thinking about the future when we've abolished this
time wasting ritual of dst and can make our pleas to get the time back that we wasted fidgeting with clocks all this time. Just think of how grand it'll be. Aaah. We're on a roll with this one.

And we'll dance in the streets. Hell, let's do that anyway. Maybe if we keep the level of insanity high enough, they're plans to stop our plot will backfire on them. Element of surprise is the idea behind that one. Or at least part of it. Mostly, if I'm going to attempt dancing, I want to make it count.
