Anybody else watch "House"?
I just love that show. Although lately they have been raiding the set of Carnivale for their guest stars (Lodz was on the show a couple of weeks ago and Ma Cooch was the guest star last night).

1. Yes! Last night's episode was FANTASTIC!
I hate Vogler, but I love what he does for the show.

2. I agree....House needed a foil to knock him down a peg or two.
He was starting to get a little insufferable. Chi McBride totally rocks .

7. I think by recommending Chase, House is on to Vogler.
But I still have a hard time taking Hugh Laurie seriously since watching him in Black Adder.

He's on the left

3. I love that show!
I missed most of last nights episode because I was having problems with my oil burner and had a repairman here but ... I just love that show! I am so attracted to his snark!

4. Yeah...Hugh Laurie brings home the snark in a dump truck!
I like this exchange last night:

House: I'm thinking I can convince Vogler it'll be more cost-efficient to keep all of them.

Dr. Wilson: You should be able to pull that off. Most billionaires aren't very good with numbers.

House: It will be more cost-efficient once I grab Cameron's ass, call Forman a spade, and Chase...well, I'll grab his ass too.

5. Damn oil burner!
I missed that line last night. I would have loved to hear him say that!

You just have to love a Doctor that knows he needs his vicodin!

I missed a good portion of what was happening with the lady with the tumor too. Did House convince her to have the surgery because she was sleeping around? I did hear the line about on line dating services that could find her someone that preferred women with scars ... did I hear that right?

8. Yes.
He noticed the 2 kids in the pic had green eyes and both she and her husband had brown eyes.

And yeah, he told her she could find men who found scars attractive.

6. I've been really enjoying that show
I don't normally watch that much TV, but I'm a big fan of Hugh Laurie from his Blackadder and Jeeves & Wooster days.

I watched it the first mainly out of curiosity to see him do drama and play an American.

I have been very pleasantly surprised. It's a pretty gripping show.

11. And strangely funny as hell too.
Something about a doctor who's beside manner is 99.9% sarcasm yet 100% competent is strangely amusing.

9. Yes, great show so much better than your "regular" medical shows
It shows that, really, the brilliant scientists are the ones who are intrigued by science, not by helping humanity.

And has a perfect balance of science and of human nature, the way doctors have to play detective to find out what really goes on.

And, yes, I hate Volger (sp?) too. Again, it shows how, when funds are not available for good medical practice, the ignorant who made money peddling, what, porno movies? can now run the show. And they, too, do not care about medicine. Just another playground for their egos.

10. I like the fact that all the characters are flawed in their own way.
They really seem three-dimensional rather than caricatures.

I'd still like to see more of Wilson though. We get lots of Vogler, Chase, Cameron, House, Cuddy, and Foreman....but not a whole lot of Wilson.

I like Wilson, because he's the only one of House's peers that doesn't seem to be a bit afraid of him.

12. I thought it rather odd that the mother of the overweight girl was
described as overweight herself. I thought she was very attractive. And normal looking, weight-wise.

13. I agree....although you see a LOT (and I mean a LOT) more...
...of her body on Carnivale on HBO.

She plays Rita Sue on Carnivale. She dances the "cooch" as her act on the road.

I think Rubenesque would be a more apt description of her.
