MCSE "boot camps" that are NOT scams?
Anyone have any recommendations? Sifting through the crap online ain't easy. 'Tho I did find this one place that promises "with less than $500, you will see the pass result as you wish..."

1. Get a book and install Windows yourself...
Almost all of the training classes I have attended were a waste of money.

3. Check the job sites and see if their are any adds for them and
what they are paying. If you have the background and good study habits you can do it on your own. There are plenty of free prep tests online.

4. They're all worthless
FWIW, most HR departments discount a degree entirely if it comes from one of these degree mills. IMO, they are completely not worthwhile.

If you want something that will get you an actual job, I recommend that you check out the offerings at your local community college. A degree that shows committment and learning in an actual classroom environment is looked upon far more favorably than these "I sat in a classroom for six weeks and all I got was this lousy diploma" paper mills.

Back in the dotcom days you could get away with them because companies were looking for anyone with a pulse. Nowadays? Unless you can back that MCSE up with mondo experience, it isn't very useful.
