*** And the Winner of the 4th Monthly DU Photo Contest is ...***

We've had the biggest turnout in voting yet during this month's photo contest. And it was the first time we broke it down into several rounds, which enabled 20 DU members to participate rather than 10.
So obviously, the competition became twice as hard as compared to the first three contests.

So here are the winners:

FIRST PLACE: SOteric for the entry "Ent." SOteric received 52 votes.


SECOND PLACE: DS1 for the entry "Spiderweb in the grass after a shower." DS1 received 44 votes.


THIRD PLACE: InTheFlow for the entry "It's not easy being green." InTheFlow received 36 votes.


FOURTH PLACE: Lwfern for the entry "Dragonfly." Lwfern received 31 votes.

And when I'm having trouble deciding, I think "which image would I rather see on my wall at home, as art, and which one would I rather see in a magazine?", and pick the former. That made your ENT image win by a nose, for me.

She's an incredibly special tree and I'm glad so many agree that she's a beauty.

Unfortunately, owing to an amazingly ugly workload in the near future, I'm unable to host the next photo contest. Rather than make you good folks wait for months for another opportunity to show you're lovely photos, I've asked the second place winner, DS1 to host the next event.

He has agreed and will be putting something together for you in a couple of weeks.

I'm surprised and tickled to have won so much attention, - especially in such amazingly talented company. Thanks again, it's an honour to be chosen to host.
