1. You're Forgetting....
...that Jesus was a Jew with strict laws regarding sexual relationships, and lived as he preached: According to God's laws set out for all humans.
One of those laws entailed having NO PREMARITAL sex; that the "marriage bed be honorable among all"; that "In the beginning. God created man, and woman, and what God has brought together, let no man take asunder (regarding Moses' law on divorce)."
He came as an example of how mankind should live. What example would he have set by having premarital sexual relationships?

is to "be fruitful and multiply"

A Jew without a wife is considered an incomplete person. Which is why a Rabbi has to be married.

Premaritial sex is a little trickier, but no where near as strong as this first one.

5. Men and women, it didn't matter.
I think that's where the Christian mythology gets mixed up. That whole "take, eat, this is my body" stuff? Then after getting nailed on Friday, he rose again three days later?

6. Not sure about th this...
but why not? And I like the guy, anyway. His parents Maria and Joseph weren't married, had a child. And Joseph simply loved Maria and didn't care about her past. So what?

But I have problems with their Democratic Party. Just because they were afraid of not being electable, they fabricated this story about Jesus being the son of a vergin in their agenda, written by PR-Agencies. They did even silence Jesus' brother, 'cause he knew the truth.

I remember writing messages at a news-forum back then, warning the Democrats to not spread this lies, just in order to be electable. But they didn't care about me.

I don't care about Jesus being laid at all.

Amen in Germany,
Dirk

Only the most recent of a long line of ancient suffering savior figures. The concept goes waaaayyy back to remote antiquity. How this particular take on the mythology has lasted 2,000 years, is anyone's guess. Maybe it's just a way to put cash in certain coffers. Who was that 10th Century Pope who asked, "what great profit hath we not derived , from this fable of the Christ?"

9. Ancient writings concerning the early Christians sects
Suggests that many were involved in a great number of extreme rites and practices including various sexual practices. Some such events were on par with Bachanels and orgies.

The early Christian sects seemed to be primarily conerned with attempting to commune with God. To this extent it seems they practiced a number of means including drugs, alcohol, fasting, dehydration, sex, meditation, physical exertion, and a host of other means to alter the mental state of the practitioners.

Over time different sects developed favored methodologies to commune with the spirit. They began to vye with each other for dominance. The ones that came out on top demonized the ones that were pushed tot he side. This continued until only a few were left and they coalesced into the singular dominant Church.

From that point the means of "communing" was resticted to the clergy. It does not make for a readily controled religion to have everyone able to open a pipeling to the source of moral authority. Thus the dominant means of attaining communion were diluted and worked into the rituals. Thus communion today consists of a waifer and a diluted wine. Other practices remain as well such as fasting and self flagelation (in some sects). But the other methods such as sex, drugs, and others have become social taboos due to demonization on the part of the church.

10. That's actually pretty interesting
And yeah, I'm kicking this because we have so many "interesting" religious "discussions" going on in "the Lounge," which is normally so "silly." And I fucking "love" double quotes, my "friend."
