7. Sensationalism Sells

Because no one is really immune to it. And for the people who aren't interested in this, some other issue would cause them to become just as obsessed.

There's two things that are really fascinating to me. One is that the ability of the theocrats to dominate the media is clear. It isn't market driven because most of America would just as soon Terri were allowed to die in peace.

The other is the unwillingness of anybody in the MSM to talk about the Texas law, which ought to be a real issue for debate.

One good thing, maybe. Democrats seem to have finally learned that the first step in ending dysfunction is to let the crises happen, and stop engaging in the crazy making.
