I've had the opportunity to steal about fifty cars today.
People at the 7/11, literally right under my bedroom window, just drive up and leave their engines on while they run in. Car completely unattended. Not for just five minutes, were talking twenty minutes to a half hour. Well, it's good to know that if I'm in a jam and need some wheels, I'll know where to go to make a fast getaway.

6. That would be my concern as well.
If they want to offer their cars to their neighbors, more power to 'em. :)

2. I hate that, and people who leave their front doors open.
"Please, burgle me!"

I guess they're more trusting than we are.

4. What are they doing in a 7/11 for 20-30 minutes?
That sounds odd!

Do they look alot HAPPIER when they come out?

With the other people that hang there. This is the busiest 7/11 I have ever seen in my life.

7. I knew some teenagers who took a Texan's Cadillac on a joy ride
The owner did exactly as you describe - Went in to 7/11 for smokes and left his engine running.

Well, four 15-16 year old San Diego surf brats decided it was time to go for a drive, since they were not yet of the age of responsibility when you can REALLY get into trouble.

The Caddie ended up in the bay by way of a boat-launching ramp.

9. Must be nice cars to boot
if they're cool with letting their engines idle that long when gas prices are so high.

10. What is worse is when they let their kids run around unattended
I see about 4 kidnappings waiting to happen when parents let their kids run around Target. I shop at a super target that has about 40 registers. I saw about a 3 year old girl last week walking up to the water fountain by herself near register 30. I looked around for anybody who even seemed remotely interested in this child, who might be a parent. The kid walked toward the lower number registers to who I assume was mom, who was 2 people back in the register putting up her items from her cart.

Some should have to be licensed to have kids.
