1. Have one then!
As long as you don't drink to excess, I have read research that coffee has lots of health benefits.

9. No coffeemaker?
Awww.. :(

Get yourself a French press, a bag o' beans, and a grinder. You'll never want to buy premade again. :)

22. I might have a French press somewhere
I know I have a grinder.

I make terrible coffee though - really, really bad. It varies between weasel pee and tar.

31. You know, when I woke up this morning, I really didn't think...
...that I would hear the words "weasel pee and tar" in the same sentence.

My day is now officially funny.

:D

I just need to choose between coffee joints - you can hardly go 20 feet in Vancouver without finding one.

7. get your old coffee grounds
fill up your basket with them, and then brew another pot. Unless, of course, the grinds have been contaminated with unhygienic things like potato peelings, etc.

(sarcasm off)

:silly:

14. Good for you - I just decided recently to limit myself to one cup a day.
My habit was getting out of control...and expensive!

(yes - that one cup is sometimes a quadruple espresso - you wanna make something of it?)

21. Isn't it just a matter of putting the grounds and the water in the machine
?

You know - I take it back. My in-laws have the same coffee maker we do, and they make TERRIBLE coffee. How is that possible? Is there some kind of coffee-making mojo one must posses?

And they keep their red wine in the fridge. WTF? I know they have been sober for 10 years, but the fact that red wine should be served room-temperature isn't something you just *forget*, is it?

28. Recipe for perfect coffee
Edited on Fri Mar-18-05 10:56 AM by steve2470
Do this, recipe for perfect coffee

1 - Go to local gourmet coffee store
2 - Buy reasonably expensive coffee brand, like one from Kenya
3- Buy grinder to go with it.
4- Read instruction manual with grinder.
5- Pour beans into grinder until it is full.
5(a)- Experiment repeatedly with quantity of beans
5(b) - " " " brand of beans
6- Grind beans somewhat coarsely. If you grind them to a fine
powder, the coffee will propel you to the moon and back.
6(a) - Experiment repeatedly with coarseness of the ground beans.
7- Pour ground beans into paper filter in the coffee maker
8 - Pour bottled water into coffee maker
9 - Turn coffee maker on.
10 - Voila. Reasonably perfect coffee.
