And, not wishing to compound misery, it will be 2009 before it's out of office (impeachment, resignation in disgrace &c. notwithstanding).

Things are looking up here, the Labour party are doing quite badly. If they loose a lot of seats in the forthcoming election, it is very possible that they will turn on Blair and remove him from power.

2. This is one hell of a great image!
Took me a minute to get it, but I LOVE IT! Unfortunately for all of us, it is not yet 2008, or as the other poster pointed out, not yet 2009, when the next admin. takes office. I hope the country can and will survive these next years. I'm hopeful, God knows why...
