My friends used me and I let them
Now I am angry at myself for allowing this.

A year before I retired I told someone they could store a couch and chair in my spare room. Now after two years I would like to have the items out of my house. I sent them an email, no response except they are trying to find someone to move the items out. They can't seem to find anyone who will move the items for them.

After I retired of friend borrowed $350.00 from me, at that time she said she would pay me back within a month. I've contacted her for the money, but said her family is more important. She said she helped me out at times, and she did, nothing like this though. I'm tired of being used.

6. I know that
she was a good friend I thought at the time. Now that I am not at work anymore guess she feels she does not need to pay. I am so angry with her. She has a married 30 yr old son who she enables, a 25 yr. old son who lives away from home, who she enables, a 23 yr. old daughter who lives at home, she cares for and and 35 year old daughter who she also enables. If they want something they call her, she goes without and gives to them even if it means not paying her bills.

The person with furniture thoroughly surprises me, never thought she would do this.

3. That sucks
Send an email to your furniture friends and tell them you really need the space, and set a date for them to get it, or you're calling Goodwill.

Get a written IOU from the moneygrubber with a payment schedule. If they don't follow it, you can always file a small claim.

No good deed goes unpunished.

5. My 2 cents: Friend #1, tell them you're
having a yard sale and their stuff is "GONE" if they don't come and get it. If they don't, there are many organizations out there that need furniture.

Friend #2 is not a friend. Either get really angry and demand your money back or chalk it off as a loss.

Don't be angry at yourself. Good friends are hard to find but you don't deserve this.

7. I don't think I can ever ever help anyone out again.
I am tired of helping others. Stingy yes, because giving is usually at my expense.

I gave the person to the end of March to get her belongings out of my house or out they go.

The person who owes me money, she lives down the street from me, she just best stay away.
