I'll have a Rolling Rock, bartender. You know, I like hanging around this place; it's got a good crowd of nice people who like to relax and talk about this and that and have a good time. They're also helpful to each other when needed and pretty low-key, even if a bit silly at times. But we all need a little goofiness once in a while to take the edge off the worries of life, yes?
I don't know why I went to that other bar around the corner last night--maybe it was because it sounded really lively in there when I walked by. Maybe I should have been alerted by the fact that the second part of its name rhymes with "Prussian," but I figured what the hell, why not something different for a change.
Boy, what a noisy place, and what an, um, shall we say, different crowd there is over there. And rather than TALK with each other, like people do here in the Lounge, a fair number of the folks there just harp and harp on a particular subject at the top of their lungs, and are not interested in anything approaching a real "discussion."
I will say that some of those ideas that get shouted back and forth over there are, to say the least, different from what you might normally hear, which could make them amusing to listen to, if it wasn't for the fact that there's so much repetition. I had to leave before I finished my drink, because the noise from the black helicopters got to be too much for me.
Once was enough for me. I'll stick with the Lounge from now on. When I go out, I like to relax and have a good time--I don't need to go from the tension of work to the tension of a place like that again.
Another Rolling Rock, please. I like this place. Think I'll stick around for a while.
