It's about the only one of the reality tv shows that I watch.

1. It's by far the best one - it's starting out in Peru this time!

The only other one worth watching is Survivor.

Unless you want to count that silly Trump show where you get to laugh at all those stupid, greedy, drooling, kissass, yuppy scumbags.

2. I do enjoy Survivor.

Twila from last season is from where I went to high school. I've met her before-she really has a dirty mouth.
This season, I really want Amber and Rob to lose. I hated them on Survivor. I am interested in the good old boys from NC, the former POW, the mother/son and the couple with the fertility problems, so far.

They picked up some dude on the airplane to Peru who speaks spanish and is helping them get everywhere (e.g. he knows that in Peru you can pay a bus driver a little more and get a direct ride with no stops).

Screw Boston Rob & his dumbass bimbo.

I'm rootin' for the black couple - one got screwed by Enron, the other by Worldcom. They NEED to win!!!

sounded like they needed it more.
Romber is overexposed. They have been everywhere.
Even my favorite survivor,Rupert, is overexposed and didn't deserve the money that they gave to him (though I was one of the fools that voted for him-repeatedly).
But my girl from last season, Twila, did deserve the money.
But back to TAR...

I love love LOVE Amazing Race.

I am complacent about Survivor and only watch it, half-assed, if there's nothing else on

I'm okay but complacent about the Apprentice, but again, I half-watch/half-study and don't really pay too much attention to it.

I absolutely DO NOT WATCH any of the 'dating' reality shows.

I LOVE Amazing Race, though, because it doesn't play so much into the "let's be assholes and stab everyone else in the back" that so many of the other shows are hyped on. I mean, NO ONE can predict a bad cabbie, or a flat tire, or some dumb-ass putting No-Lead into a Diesel tank.

I love AR because it's seriously like 70% luck and 30% skill and it doesn't matter how buddy-buddy the teams are, or how much they hate each other, it alllll comes down to luck and timing and the ability to travel well.

My hubby and I are AVID travelers and we just envy everyone on that show.

BUT---when I saw the previews of this season, and heard them say "And from Survivor...." I nearly vomited. I really hope they don't start having "...and special guest star...." EVERY season.

And of ALL the people to put on...oh god why why WHY Rob and Amber? Oh jeeze I hate those two fucks with all my fucking life. If they were to both spontaneously combust I would sit there cheering and wishing I could douse them with Gasoline.

Rob is an assface and Amber is just.....an assface with a vagina, I guess.

Their 15 minutes has gone by a long, long time ago, and I think I will have a fucking aneurysm if they win this race. In fact, I am praying to all applicable gods and goddesses now that they are kicked out of the race swiftly and with much humilation.

16. I can say with ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY

that whatever day/evening/week the Romber WEdding is shown on TV will be the day/evening/week that my televisions will not only stay OFF, but I'll disconnect the frigging cable FROM the TV....because it's not just going to be the wedding.

It's going to be weeks of pre-wedding interviews with:
Amber
Rob
Their families
Other Survivor Folks
People who don't know rob OR Amber but know SOMEONE named Rob and therefore merit a 30-minute discussion on the sanctity of Reality-Weddings

Then there'll be the wedding
Then the POst-Wedding interviews
The Post-Wedding Contest (On CBS.com, no doubt) "VOTE FOR THE EXOTIC GETAWAY THAT ROMBER DESERVES FOR THEIR HONEYMOOOOOOON" (with of course the underlying contest that one lucky voter will be chosen to SLEEP IN THE SAME BED AS AMBOB ON THEIR WEDDING NIGHTTTTTTTTTT)

Families of FOUR? Oh christ.....lemme guess...the coquetish little kids with a smart mouth on one team....the nerdy kids with a heart of gold on another....a wheel-chair bound, deaf-mute-autistic-savant who's "out to prove that even someone with no legs and only 2.5 ribs CAN climb a mountain, unassisted, in less than 4 years" (Sorry---not digging on the disabled....but I hate when they're used as tokens on shows like this)

Oh...my biggest fears....Amazing Race is like a 10th of an inch from Jumping The Shark. Please...say it ain't so....it is (was) the LAST BASTION OF SANITY ON TELEVISION.....

18. I would think that

the contestants would have to be 21 or else it would be waaaay too cutesy.
There could be some interesting combos. There was one season where exspouses competed-not because they enjoyed each others company but because they wanted to put their winnings away for their children for college.
Of course, the combos could really suck too. I hope that the combos get really interesting,though.

Ami had been in a relationship for a few years (I think that she was in her early thirties) and Scout has been in a relationship for around twenty years with her partner. They said that Scout and her partner Annie didn't really talk about it around town but that she was very open on the show. Both of their partners were on the show when they had the family visits.
Ami didn't win because she was so outfront as a leader and became a target and Scout didn't win because she was injured during much of the show (a friend of hers told me that she had to have knee surgery about a month after the show).
The difference with the two of them, compared to say a Richard Hatch, was that it was treated like it wasn't a big deal.

I think that Survivor is the only show that has had openly lesbian contestants. The best part was that they were treated like it wasn't a big deal.
It is alot of stuff to read and I wouldn't waste my time w/ 99% of it-but if I were a lesbian I would definitly want Ami. She was hot!

I loved them. I loved the whining, I loved the sneakiness and the cunning. And they were really good with getting tickets everywhere-too bad that was their downfall:-(

The other teams ganged up on them-especially Colin and Christy:mad:
They even made comments like "We can't let the midget beat us!"
