Anybody know anyone who wants to buy 1969/1970 Cadillac
Edited on Wed Feb-23-05 01:58 PM by saracat
Eldorado? It used to belong to the producer of the classic movie"Reefer Madness" It is cherry red with a black roof. It needs some work,as it has been in storage. He claimed it was a special order for Sinatra. We were going to restore it but Hubby lost his job and I have developed a medical condition. We are at the end of our resources, and really need some cash. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, and the car is in Phoenix AZ.

10. Don't get ripped off
I'm an old car hobbyist, and you're asking for too little, I think. Check my post below, get a Hemmings at your local newstand, and research your price.

I think the milage is around 130,00. I would have to check.I have the provenance for the producer. I bought it directly from him. The Sinatra story I haven't ever worked on. I suppose it could be traced. I was goint to write Nancy and see if she knew. But the thing is, I don't know if he ever picked it up. It was a special order that the Producer told me, Sinatra didn't want. There is some cracked leather in the front seats and the electrical system needs work. The car does run. It was my car and I used to drive it everyday.

9. If you've got documentation for your claims on it
Take out an ad for it in Hemming's Motor News, the bible of the old car industry. <http://www.hmn.com/>

You will be able to get the price you want, not have to hassle with Ebay, and it will reach more people than Ebay, since it is specifically directed at old car enthusiaists, with and without computers.

I would also recommend that you do some research into what other such celebrity cars bring, for if you can prove it was a Sinatra car, you can get a pretty penny. I would suggest investing the time and money for a title search to establish who exactly did own the car. Good luck.
