Only I don't have anything to discuss. So what should we talk about?

1. How about whether or not a city can transcend its nation and belong to the
world? Like New York or Rio or Paris?

Why do you think some cities like New York seem to be "international" while other cities like Boston, Chicago, or LA don't. Was it just location, timing? Curious indeed.

4. It just seems that way with some cities
Nothing concrete. It's those type of cities you think of by themselves, seperate from their country. "Let's go to Rome" as opposed to "Let's go to Italy."

6. I see what you mean...
People go to Paris to go to Paris, not France. Or maybe the opposite, States with virtually no major metropolitan areas?

3. I'll bet you'd be interested in talking about
Bob Dylan running a marathon. It'd be completely devoid of reality, but it's a way you could participate in both racing and music! :silly:

But you know I much rather talk about Bob Dylan taking a photograph of a painting of an old abandoned amusement park. :P
