Poll question: Worst 50's Sci-Fi Movie
O.K. Sci-Fi buffs, try to remember these blasts from the past.

We all know and love the classics, like " The Day The Earth Stood Still" and " Forbidden Planet." How many of you remember some of these turkeys?

This list, while no means complete,is some of the worst dreck ever filmed.

Note: I purposely left off "Plan Nine From Outer Space" That movie is in a class by it self for sheer awfulness.

Have fun and "Keep Watching The Skies"

1. Gotta go with La Cacannya, The Giant Claw
the only film whose hometown premier star Jeff Morrow walked out of before it ended.

3. what makes it even funnier is how well acted it is
then, ever few minutes the inserted scenes (gotta love Mexican special effects companies) of the marionette shatted any sense of anything else going on the flick. And that cry, CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW every two seconds...

The first time I saw it I nearly wet myself.

4. I've seen only Robot Monster
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 11:58 PM by tuvor
But I can't imagine anything worse. Plan 9 included.

Should've been called Undersea Gorilla.

ON EDIT: Do you have room to add The Brain That Wouldn't Die?

6. I voted for Robot Monster
that movie really sucks! However Giant Claw finishes a close second...

The Brain From Planet Arous is actually a pretty good little bad film, you could have included worse, like "She Demons" or "The Horrors of Spider Island"...Not to mention "Mesa of Lost Women"!

Oh, so bad.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0047577/

Coincidentally (or...not) it features the aforementioned Jeff Morrow as the alien leader Exeter. It's not Giant Claw bad, but it is remarkably boring.

8. Where the fuck is "Plan 9 From Outer Space?"
1950s sci-fi didn't come any worse than that unintentionally hilarious foray into stunningly inept filmmaking!

10. Ed Wood rocks!
He was a classic, even John Waters doesn't come close.

12. The Giant Claw was pretty good, actually.
Until they showed that stupid bird puppet.

Then my friends and I were on the floor laughing.
