My dog licks her paws or butt every single night about this time. For a LONG time. In a VERY slurpy way. She's VERY loud about it and the sound totally grosses me out.

I don't know why I said all that. I'm just grossed out.

8. Weird related story

I dog/house-sit pretty regularly for some friends of mine. They have three dogs, all around 15 lbs. Back when I first started sitting the dogs were sleeping in the bed at night with them so I let them sleep with me when I was there.

One night I was woken up around *:30 (there was a doggy dispute over location) and I discovered this HUGE wet spot on the comforter. I FREAKED out, thinking one of the dogs had wet the bed. Even though I had to work at 7:30 the next morning I spent 2 1/2 hours washing and drying the comforter and sheets to get rid of what I thought was dog piss.

When my friends got home they laughed their asses off. Apparently one of the dogs was a major paw-licker and it was just a puddle of dog slobber. My late-night laundry was unnecessary. It was still disgusting, for sure, but better than the alternative.
