Time for another UGLY CAR THREAD!!!!
My nominee to start things off is the 1961 DeSoto. It was so ugly, that Chrysler stopped making this former best seller after the 1961 model year.

8. naw...that's a pacer station wagon...
THIS is a Pacer-

and they were GREAT!!
a small car with all the interior space of a big car.

I owned 5 different ones through the early-mid 80's- they were FANTASTIC cars.

(would it surprise anyone to find out that I now drive a VW New Beetle?)

22. AMC Rambler Tarpon- sharp car!

I LOVE fastbacks- my first car was a '67 Mustang Fastback...

IMHO- the Tarpon looks pretty sharp!

personally, I think that AMC had some of the coolest body designs of the time.

3. The first thing I thought of when I saw the picture. . .
was that it was the inspiration for some modern furniture I've seen :)

This isn't exactly what I was thinking, but look at the lines of the loveseat and tell me it doesn't look similar :)

12. My son's French teacher has a yellow one.
They don't look that bad in yellow. As an added bonus, they sold so badly, GM was practically giving them away.

14. Yeah, but what's with all the black plastic?
I mean, you can get them any color you want, as long as it's two-toned with BLACK. So they only look good in black.
