What is the best online catalog for Christmas
Last year I used LL Bean and was happy, but I'd like something different, and there isn't too much in there for my budget that I haven't already sent my relatives.

Anyone have success with other online gift ordering? I love it because I don't have to wrap and send it myself.

9. Another one for Harry and David...
Nice "towers"....though, I usually order one for my family so we can eat it while wrapping presents, etc.

Oh boy, I love Christmas! I wish I lived out in LA for it, it's so friggin cold here, LOL, but I love it!

10. Why not -

amazon.com, for example? Everything from books, to music, to kitchenware, to clothes - you name it! I buy my SO Calphalon pots and pans from there every year for xmas.

As an added bonus, you can use the DU amazon.com link and donate to DU just by ordering.

If Buy.com is anything like it used to be, I HIGHLY recommend them on their customer service alone. I ended up having a huge snafu with them when it was discovered (after I had placed my order) that they don't ship to PO boxes. This may have changed, but at the time they weren't doing so and I live where I don't have mail delivered to my house. Anyway, thier customer service was AMAZING. I got almost immediate replies to my emails to them, and they were very helpful.

One of my favorite sites is overstock.com - I've never done a gift from them, so I'm not sure if they do giftwrapping. I don't see why they wouldn't, but its possible they don't.

I'm kinda in the sticks, so I shop online more than in "real" stores. Everything from gifts to pet food and supplies, to books and music.

12. couple of ideas
In the past we've ordered citrus fruit from Johnston Farms in Edison, CA (www.johnstonfarms.com). They have very high quality fruit and you get quite a bit for your money. Their satsuma mandarins are terrific.

Another idea is ornaments from Aurora Glass (www.auroraglass.org). (I don't know if they do any giftwrap stuff, I bought them locally in town.) They are associated with St. Vincent de Paul in Eugene, OR, and use 100% recycled glass that would normally go into a landfull. All the profits from sales go to St. Vincent de Paul programs for homeless and low-income people in the area. I did this last year for some of the folks on my list.
