Spell Checking
Someone mentioned somewhere that there's no spellchecking in the DU2 software. I suspect that it would be a real PITA to include it, but there are other ways. Admittedly, these are a little more work than an automatic spellcheck, but if you care about spelling they work very well.

WordWeb has a free version of its dictionary and thesaurus that is very handy when you're not sure of a spelling or looking for a word:

All Purpose Spell Checker is currently unsupported and sort of orphaned, but it still works great, and is also free. It can be downloaded from the Pricelessware.org archives at:

2. Or...
you could buy a Mac and use Safari as your browser, which has a built-in spell checker.

3. If I'm writing more than a couple of lines
I do it in an email and spellcheck it before I copy and paste it here.
Works for me.
What's with the "DO NOT wish to use emotion icons" box?

4. that's what I do to,
Copy and paste from the email to the board. But, lately I have gotten lazy--have been winging it--and I am an atrocious speller who should not wing it. I am paying closer attention to my spelling. When people attack a point one has made, the simplest attack, that also handily avoids the issue, is to mock spelling. Then too, I do have a hard time taking misspelled posts seriously.
