1. Ooooooh! Gorgeous!
They look a lot like Maine coon cats, which are my favorite breed.

6. the do look a lot like Coons
which I understand was part of the problem getting the breed recognized. I love the long bushy tails, just like the Maine Coon's too.

2. Look like ordinary long-haired cats
If you look, your local shelter probably has a a couple of long-haired cats that are every bit as nice as these.

7. you find them for me
They don't look ordinary to me at all. Too many of the cats at the shelters are declawed. I do not want any declawed cat.

12. Not quite as full, but close. Coons aren't quite long-hairs.. they're
more like medium-long-in-back-and-shorter-in-front hairs. :)

8. They are very beautiful
I think they are well equipped for cold weather too, although they would probably be miserable in my climate in the summer.

Lot's of brushing is probably required and trimming of butt hair. I always think of that. This little guy of mine doesn't need that.

21. LOTS of brushing
My mother in law had one that would get a hair cut every summer because he was so miserable in the heat.

22. Siamese cats are the most loving, wonderful cats around. I have had
three of them. The last one died four years ago at the age of sixteen, and I still miss him, despite the seven cats we have now... He, and his sister who died five years before him, would spend every evening curled up in my lap, purring until they were deeply asleep. None of the current kitties do that now. :(

23. Long-haired cats are great because they groom themselves
I have a 3/4 Maine Coon Cat who is beautiful (like your pictures but he's mostly black). He's a little mean, but sometimes I just sit and look at him because he's gorgeous.

With long-haired dogs you have to brush them daily and get them haircuts periodically, but cats take care of themselves. The only downside is the occasional hairball getting coughed up.
